Looking back and charting

Meredith | July 3rd, 2007

Hey everybody, it’s Meredith and I’m just writing looking back on OMC and also Monongalia County Camp, which both by the way were great this year [=

First, county camp was a blast even though we are definitely lacking in the numbers that we used to have, meaning anyone that lives in Motown and is under 21 should be there next year! This year at camp I took the Charting Class which is where you do a project book before camp that consists of lots of questions and activities dealing with development and self discovery. Honestly, it was very long and time consuming but I did learn a great deal about myself. Luckily, they are revising the book to make it less redundant, in other words, less boring. After you do the book, you go to camp and take a class with the VCA oops I mean ECI and the other campers that are charting. The class is a lot of fun and definitely worth all the bookwork. The final part of charting is getting your charting pin. Most people chart when they are 16 or older, which was this year for me. Believe it or not I got my charting pin, pretty exciting!

So Friday night after camp we had our annual “after camp get-together” at BW3 then went home to wash our clothes for Sunday. I slept most of the day Saturday and got up Sunday morning to leave for OMC. Even though I was very reluctant to get out of my own bed, I couldn’t wait to get to the Mill.
