Circus Leaving Town
Allright, Mel here again. I know I haven’t been the most loyal little blogger this week, but it was definitely because this entire week has been ACTION PACKED!!!!
Being at all of my other camps so much, I had truly forgotten exactly how over the top Alpha 2 is. Nonstop energy at this place. Its NUTS!!! I can barely even talk from screaming all week. And not just council circle screaming. It was assembly screaming, kickball screaming, talent show screaming, luch screaming….pretty much any time of the week there was a good opportunity to shout out a big Rick Flair esque “WHHOOOO!!!!!”
One of my best friends Sammy K got the honor of being Sag and will be Chief next year for the Delawares, and I’m sure he’ll do an awesome job. He was Sag for my other good friend mister Dave Hill this past week, who has done a great job of leading the Thunderbirds through a great week.
The last topic I’ll hit on for this blog will be my grow group. THE GOONIES!!!!! It was another great week of getting to hang out with a group of awesome kids who most I’ve known for years now. Many of them have become some of my closest and dearest friends. Just because this week is coming to an end is no reason for are relationship to be put on pause. I recomend that anyone in the 4H camping program keep close contact with your 4H friends. Theyre are most definitely some of the truest ones you will ever find. And before you know it, when talking about them the title “4H friend” evolves in to “friend” because they will no longer be someone that you like to hang out with a couple of times a year.
Well thats my words on the week and I’d like to close another great week of camp by apropriately saying . Wakonda, here needy he stands. I that sing am he.
