Do What You Like - Like What You Do!
Caroline just got done bustin’ a groove at the camp party!!
Back to that later….
I cannot believe that Wednesday of Alpha II is almost over. Tomorrow is the last full day! (Tear)
Today at Alpha is always scheduled as the ever popular Health Topics Day. Every year two female doctors from Parkersburg come to speak to us about something related to our health. They try to make it different and interesting every year. This year they decided to have a little friendly competition between the tribes. The theme was really based on how exercise is good for us and the doctors had a discussion in the assembly hall with the full group before releasing us. The ladies also always remind us that when we go to exercise at home we need to do what we like, and like what we’re doing. Otherwise they know as well as we do that we won’t do it.
There were different sports slated to be played such as basketbell, volleyball, swimming, tennis, and many more. Each tribe sent so many people to each station to play. At the stations of course each tribe was awarded points for winning 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, but they were also awarded points for spirit. I feel that this years health topics were probably some of the best health topics we’ve had the last six years I’ve been here. A little competition always makes things more interesting!
Just one more way the four H’s come into play here at Alpha. I feel all the campers, regardless of what tribe, represented the health H well. How-How to Health Topics!
Love Always,
Caroline
