BRINGIN' THE FUNK!!!
Word to your Moms, I came to drop Bombs!
Its Thursday night and I just got finished gettin my shake on at the OMC Party….needless to say, it was pretty bomb.
When everyone started to get ready for the dance, the news spread like wildfire that the DJ had to get his tonsils removed and bailed out. Everyone was pretty bummed. and by bummed, I mean VERY ANGRY. Out of this passionate fit of rage, some friends and I decided that we were gonna use that 4-H spirit that’s here in our hands and pulled one of our trucks up and started kickin’ the funk. At first it didn’t draw any applause but eventually the kids couldn’t resist the music. Flocks started coming over and gettin down to the boogie down, fresh beats. Soon enough, a replacement DJ showed up to rock the joint but this still goes to show that you can’t really keep a good 4H’er down.
Earlier today I was having a talk with my good friend, and current Seneca Chief, Jonathan Burns. We were discussing how strange it is and how unexpected it is to become pretty big in the 4-H world. One minute, you’re setting in the back of council circle, throwin pennies at kids, and the next thing you know, you’re a big wig on the funny stunt comittee, gettin H’s, All Star pins, and becoming Sag of your tribe. It all escalates so quickly. But its a good thing. 4-H really brings in those rotten kids and molds them into more responsible young people. They may always have the sarcasm and rebellion in them, but that’s a big key that I think helps in writing the perfect satire for a funny stunt.
We didn’t have council circle tonight, but we did have a short tribal meeting, where some of our Funny Stunt crew worked on some things to come up tomorrow. It has a lot of potential but is definitely goin’ out on a limb. I guess tomorrow night I can tell you how funny it was and how everyone loved it…........or tell you that it ended up kind of sad and pitiful.
Well,....keep it real and whatnot. Word up.YO, VIP!
Love,
Mel
