Nothing compares to singing with 300 other campers

So, its the night of the first full day of OMC. So far things have
gone great. I didn’t get a chance to blog last night from all the excitement. During last night’s council circle, I found out that I was voted Sagamore by my tribe, and will be returning as chief next year. I have to say its quite an honor and is definitely something to be proud of.

OMC is going really well. For two nights in a row, the stunts have
been funny, the songs have been great and the yells have been loud.
Its definitely what I’ve been missing for a year now. There’s really
no other feeling quite like being at council cricle with over 300
campers all singing together.

Aside from Council Circle business, all things are still going
great. I started my workshops today which were Recreation and Dance.
In Rec. we played a lot of really fun “get to know you” games and some
other activities that we can take back to our counties. And although
dance was a little…...muggy, it was still a lot of fun and the first
day gave me a good refresher course of some folk dances I was a tad
rusty on.

Well, it may only be 10:24 right now, but after two excellent, action
packed days of camp, 10:24 sounds like an excellent bedtime.
